A citizen of "in-betweens," Camila explores what is lost, what is left behind, and the continual negotiation of cultural identity. She is a Torino NEXT Film Lab, Reykjavik Talent Lab and Tomorrow's Filmmakers Today fellow, the recipient of the Saul Zaentz Innovation Fund and the Rubys Artist Grant. Her most recent film, SOFIA (2025) has screened at festivals around the world, including Austin, Calgary International, Urbanworld, RiverRun, deadCenter, amongst others. Her first photobook titled 'Saudade: Cachaça, Pimenta e Dendê' is being released in the Fall of 2026. In her free time, she likes to ride motorcycles and drink chocolate strawberry milkshakes.
